Perhaps the artists are exploring an integrated sense of ethics which is promoted in Daniel Kealey's book Revisioning Environmental Ethics and could become leaders in a new vision for ecology. When outlining the various theories and methods of environmental ethics, Kealey has pointed criticism of each. Each has the problem of either holding on to a vision that has become inadequate or hearkening back to a more ancient perceptual style which does not adequately take into account our present perceptual context.
